How do i start modding a operating system (Say like Windows XP) and making a ISO out of it?

Post by PF94 » Sat Jul 06, 2019 4:34 pm

I had a idea for a custom Windows XP operating system that was based on Royale Noir (Zune theme beta), I mean completing the theme by myself is easy-ish, but the complicated part is how do i make a iso out of it with the other modified system files? (and maybe a "how do i even bundle windows live and mypal/new moon in it?").

I'm looking for high-quality answers that can be reused for when other members ask the same thing, not old 480p videos from 2010 that use outdated tools (eg, old version of resource hacker) and are plain out confusing to me.

Well, resee. The instructions you added on Discord DMs were very rushed and confusing

"uhhhhhhhhhhhhh
it goes like this
you open the install sources
go through files
reshack them to all ...
save them and put them back where they belong"

I asked "how do i put it on a ISO" and, i got a anwser on the Windows 2007 discord, but the only anwser was "makecab", a non-user-friendly application using CMD.
