In only a few weeks, the best version of modern windows comes to an end and I think it's important to look back on all the new features it brought along with it that many never got to experience because of its off putting start menu. It truly had the best 10 had to offer while avoiding the bloat and bing search that comes with windows 10/11. Maybe I'm just being nostalgic because it ran the best on some really awful thrift store xp era computers (which were all I could afford at the time), but I stand by my claim that if windows 8 had the windows 10 style start menu and no forced full screen apps, then it would have been the golden child that 7 is seen as today.
