When Microsoft first launched Windows 1 in November of 1985, it came on 2 5.25" Floppy Diskettes (Disks) because it was DOS (Disk Operating System) Based. Windows 95 came on 21 1.44 MB floppy disks and 13 1.68 MB DMF floppy disks and Windows 98 came on 38 1.68 MB DMF floppy disks.
Today, Windows 10 would ship with 2778 3.5" Floppy Disks, if technology hadn't changed and we still used the floppy diskettes. Just imagine the size of the product box.
