Geek XP
Re: Geek XP
Is there a working download link?
Re: Geek XP
Trying to flash an image onto a USB and I can't seem to get it to work :/
Re: Geek XP
I am preparing to set this up in a vm so I can test some old XP games. Midway Arcade Treasures first.
This game is one that has anti copy software that wrecks windows 10.

Re: Geek XP
I have just installed this on my old IBM Thinkpad T41 - Model number 2373-3HM from the early 2000s
After a bit of specific driver installs - Audio, Video, Network, etc. I think it works well.

Re: Geek XP
Sick man. Keep up the great work
. Looking forward to your newer versions.
Also, would be cool if you could make a debloated version of Win 10.

Re: Geek XP 4
I DL the GXP41.iso from google drive and firefox, VLC and 7-zip aren't installed.
Re: Geek XP
It is asking for a license key? How do I obtain one?
Re: Geek XP
When you install in in some VMs it doesn't take into account the auto install file. You can get the key from the file WINNT.SIF in the I386 directory, but all the programs may not install.
Re: Geek XP
I was turned right on by MJD's review of Geek XP, and it's performance. I was a huge afficianado of XP, and cried in my cereals when MS stopped supporting it.
I'm going to try out your version on my old 32-bit Gateway laptop bomb that weighs 150 lbs, soon as I return to Canada.
Just to use a browser that doesn't complain will be a dream in itself. I appreciate all your work.

Re: Geek XP
I downloaded the geek 4 image and wrote (Apple Pi Baker) the image to an USB Stick. I wasn't able to boot the stick. Etcher (Image Writer) told me this is a non-bootable Image. Do I doing anything wrong here? do I have to install original XP first?
