Should I in-place upgrade my Windows 98 VM?

Post by FMecha » Wed Apr 05, 2017 3:00 pm

I have a Windows 98 VM on VMware Player. It was converted from Virtual PC and then Virtualbox (dropped Virtualbox due to horrible Win9x support). ipconfig isn't recognizing the network adaptor, although it appears on Network control panel, and so it can't connect to Internet.

Should I reinstall/in-place upgrade it?

What you use for? If you need 98 VM keep it. If not upgrade it. BTW you are not limited how many VMs you can create but you least can make an other and keep 98. I have 98 VM , i don't use mouch but i keep it still

You should probably upgrade it with maybe Windows 2000 or ME.
