How to get 32 Bit color in Windows 9x OSes on Virtualbox?

Post by Windows10User2017 » Wed Mar 29, 2017 5:04 pm

I want to run some Windows 9x (Windows 95, 98 and ME) and older NT OSes (3.x and 4.0) but I have a problem,

VirtualBox doesn't have any Guest addons for any Windows version older then Windows 2000 (Windows NT 4.0 does have guest addons but they don't really work). I need some display drivers that can be used on VirtualBox so I won't be stuck on 16/256 Colors.

I have a virtual machine running with Windows 98 Second Edition, and it works fine. It also has 32-bit color, which I installed from VMware Tools. So I guess maybe try using Windows 98 on VMware, if that works for you.
