Win 95 for DOS gaming, or FreeDOS (or DOS proper)

Post by NinKenDo » Thu Feb 23, 2017 2:13 pm

Hey guys, I was wondering what kind of argument can be made between alternatives available for old DOS games. While I understand Windows 95 can't run a few select titles, beyond that it seems like a fine choice for a DOS gaming rig, and grants you access to WIndows 95 games to boot. Any reasons to choose FreeDOS over it, or even to go with O.G. DOS over that?

Cheers.

I think it's best to use FreeDOS, so you could get the full MS-DOS experience.
