My latest project: uMenu16

Post by Lordinal82 » Sun Nov 18, 2018 3:06 pm

Hi all! So this is my latest project, uMenu16. It aims to be a very simple replacement for the default Program Manager Windows 3.1 brings. It was coded in Objective Pascal under Borland Delphi and it allows you to execute all apps that come preinstalled in both Windows 3.1 and in Windows for Workgroups 3.11.

Just wanted to share it with the DOS/Win community, all the source code and the downloads are avaible on the project's website: http://umenu16.xyz/
EDIT: I just added to the webpage a testdrive from where you can test the shell with a fully functional wfw3.11, so you can test it online without setting up a VM. ;)

Some screenshots:

Comment what you think about it, possible improvements... :D

Thanks so much for posting this! Don't know if it was you or not, but I had somebody comment about this on one of my videos asking for me to take a look at it. Definitely looks like it would make a great video. Really like the website too! The test drive feature is a great touch. Thanks for your hard work!

Thank you very much for your positive feedback, I'm glad you liked it!

And no, the one who commented it on your video wasn't me (didn't even know about this ).

Well, you are free to do it! The source code is on github. ;)

Btw remember to read and follow the GPLv3 license.
