Laptop Color Matters

Post by ShinyElGhosteo » Wed Feb 01, 2017 5:07 pm

I live down in So Cal so that means its usually mid to high 80s at best and 100+ at worst during spring , summer, and the beginning of fall. I used to use a matte black comaq laptop and it never had any issues with the temperature... until I had to work in Premiere outside. I noticed the shell of the laptop get hot quick around the keyboard and screen and the fan kicked into full gear to try to cool it. The black made it get so much hotter than it was supposed to and after about 15-20 minutes it hard shut off to protect itself. It's never had this issue since because I no longer use that laptop outside when using CPU intensive software. In contrast I now use a glossy white Dell laptop and under the same conditions it never hard shut down like that. It did get hot but it wasn't overheating like the other one was. Just keep that in mind when deciding what color to pick.
