Post by HubmKer » Wed Mar 08, 2017 3:19 pm

Would a 80 plus bronze power suppply perform better than an 80 plus gold?
Or would it be just more efficient?

I really dont see a difference. same wattage and same brand. go with the 80+ and not gold bronze platinum or any of that stuff

EDIT: Yes theirs a difference. the higher the certification, the less power it uses and the more efficient it is

Theoretically, a better rated PSU means a better quality PSU, which could net you slightly more performance from cleaner power delivery allowing higher boost clocks. Though to be at that point, you'd need to be a overclocker for the PSU to matter past anything 80+ Bronze. Though in 2021, I'd at least get a modular Gold unit for safety.
