As someone who had almost all of their computers working with Intel processors, I can't really tell how other ones are different. But I do think Intel is maybe average on people's computers.

My Computer Specs:
Model: Acer Veriton X2631
CPU: Intel Core i5 (4440)
GPU: Intel HD Graphics 4600
RAM: 8 GB DDR3
HDD: 2.6 TB (Partitions total)
OS: Windows 10 Pro
Sound: Realtek High Definition Audio

Yeah, any Intel Graphics chipsets can become glitchy at times if you don't have the most recent driver installed by Intel which can contain fixes to problems.
To be honest, my Acer laptop rocks a Intel HD Graphics 520 with 4160MB total available graphics memory according to the display adapter properties on Windows.

intel hd graphics 3000 is fine for basic uses and playing older games or even up to skyrim on my laptop at 800x600 for that dos experience at nearly 60fps locked. but I have not tried to play any games with my integrated graphics on my desktop which is a little newer then that.
