Re: Internal USB Port
PCI cards are not compatible with PCIe slots, so the first card you linked will not work in a PCI slots unless it's mislabeled. Mini PCIe is similar enough to PCIe that an adapter should be sufficient to allow use. However I can't guarantee such adapters exist (they probably do). As to whether it wi...

Re: Does anyone still have a pet USB rock?
So.... Can you unplug the USB cable and use it with other peripherals? Because actually, if you can, this is a nice way of having a USB extension handy but weighted down.

Re: Internal USB Port
I assumed since you mention USB3 as a possibility, if one you don't need, you meant PCI-E. https://www.newegg.com/global/au/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815256001&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAUAdwords-PC&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAUAdwords-PC-_-pla-_-Add-On+Cards-_-N82E16815256001&gclid=CKf-nNm4ptICFVJvvAodgrAAng Thi...

Re: What Linux OS are you using?
At the moment I'm not running any Linux at all, which is odd for me. But I fell in love with Gentoo earlier in the year. Not a huge compile tweak freak, but on previous distros I was always gutting things out to use something else. With Gentoo, everything is there because I decided I wanted it to be...

Re: Do you jailbreak/root?
I'd be up for breaking my iPod Touch if I hadn't foolishly updated it past the point of no return. I don't root my Android devices anymore as they seem to become consistently slower after I do. Of course correlation doesn't equal causation, but it's happened enough times at this point that it's hard...

Re: YouTube and Spotify on G3 10.4
Like Fociec said, your best bet for YouTube is VLC. I'll honestly be impressed if you can hit 320p on a G3 though. As to Spotify, you're probably out of luck, the Spotify client is years old and long unsupported at this point. If it doesn't work, it's probably because the backend has changed in some...

Win 95 for DOS gaming, or FreeDOS (or DOS proper)
Hey guys, I was wondering what kind of argument can be made between alternatives available for old DOS games. While I understand Windows 95 can't run a few select titles, beyond that it seems like a fine choice for a DOS gaming rig, and grants you access to WIndows 95 games to boot. Any reasons to c...
