I have just decided to take Explorer.exe from 4020 and try to transplant it onto 4039 to get rid of memory leaks.

(This is just an experiment, sorry if I screw up your PC), but have you considered replacing explorer.exe with the Windows XP version? I'll reply if this worked or not. I'm doing this myself.

Guys, Longhorn builds used XP sounds. All Vista beta builds also used XP sounds until around RC2.

The real sounds in Longhorn are XP sounds. Longhorn builds always used XP sounds, they never had their own sounds until Vista RCs.
