Re: Windows XP new PCs

Bitdefender has won the best antivirus for the past 6 years and in my tests and test I've seen online, it has a detection ratio of more or less 100%, Kaspersky has a 99% ratio, but Kaspersky is questionable as to whether it sends info to Russian hackers. https://youtu.be/t_g8ZlyM2yQ The 1660 XP driv...

Re: Windows XP new PCs

Yes, you can boot via many OS, though I would still recommend doing it via VM, and as the OS boots from a VM, there are no performance issues. Avast has become better, but I would always recommend Bitdefender, though you'll need an older version which will work on XP. Avast does the same and they re...

Re: Windows XP new PCs

Most high end PC's won't run XP, but there are still many low end machines around that will, though I don't know why you would want to. One way to get XP to work on a high end is to run XP in a Virtual Machine. But I wouldn't recommend running XP in a daily environment due to no patches or updates, ...

Re: Windows XP new PCs

Buy a new PC and install Windows XP. You can still buy XP 32 and 64bit on eBay with working keys if you don't have a copy.

Re: Opinions On Microsoft Edge?

Chromium Edge has come a long way since the last post here. I use It as my primary browser now. I hate the round edges in Chrome, and I know you can revert back to the old design, but I just prefer Edge now. On release, there will be a few features held back, but Edge is the only browser capable of ...

Re: How many old style Floppy Disks would it take to hold Windows 10?

Thanks. I remember Windows 95 and 98 on floppy's and you always came across one that wouldn't read. Sliding the flap back and blowing on the disk. Now there's spit on the disk. Ahh the good old days. Now many new PC's and laptops have no drives at all. I wonder what we'll be using 30 years from now!
